Opportunities available at Cafe' 300!! The FFL is seeking dependable, committed volunteers for our team to work in the library's Cafe' 300. The work includes light food preparation (no cooking) and food service to our patrons and community. This is a great opportunity to become actively involved with your library and community. Celebrate Chinese New Year!
Saturday February 6 at 2 pm
Join us for a family celebration of the Chinese New Year featuring entertainment and activities. Call now to register, 637-6374 x 2.
Musical Family Story Time
Saturday, February 13 at 11 am
The theme is "Things that GO!" LIVE music, stories, songs, and fingerplay geared for children ages 2 to 6.
Monday February 15 - The Library closes at 5pm
Early closing for the President's Day Holiday.
Dance Party!
Tuesday February 16 at 2pm
A fun dance party for children during winter break, featuring a DJ!
SmartPlay
Friday, February 26 & Saturday, February 27 at 10:30 am
An early literacy program for young children ages 2-5 years old. Educational toys and activities are at 5 different stations to reinforce early literacy skills important in learning to read.
Preschool Information Fair
Saturday, February 27 at 10:30 am
Local preschools will be on hand to provide information to families about their programs.
Infant/Child CPR Course - Saturday, March 6
Parents, grandparents, child caregivers and babysitters will learn emergency action principles, rescue, breathing, first aid for choking and single-rescue CPR skills for infants and children. Participants receive Infant/Child CPR certification good for one year. Fee is $45 and must be prepaid. Space is limited.
Sunday Musicale: Johnston School of Irish Dance & Water Street Irish Session
Sunday, March 14th at 2 pm
Celebrate St. Patricks Day with Irish Dancers from the Johnston School of Irish Dance and enjoy music by Water Street Irish Session.

Early Literacy Stations!
Early Literacy Stations are available in the children's room. The AWE Early Literacy Station (ELS) is the premier educational workstation specifically designed for children ages 2-8. The stations include 26 educational titles, across 7 curricular areas, top rated by Children's Software Review.
