  • The Friends of the FFL Membership Drive is underway.  We are eager to welcome new members to our roster and send a big thank you to those renewing their memberships.

:: Schedule of events ::

  • See Event Calendar to view a monthly calendar of all library programs and events. 
  • Syracuse Weavers Guild & the Foothills Fiber Art Guild will be exhibiting this month.  In May, the Lock 24 Artists of Baldwinsville will exhibit oils and watercolors.
  • The Sunday Musicale Series will feature "September Trio" on April 27 at 2pm.  Jane Mahar Proper and Robert Gerbin, with piano accompaniment by Catherine McGrath, will perform.
  • Annual Book Sale - June 13th thru June 15th
    • June 13, 1-4p Dealers and Friends Members only
    • June 14, 10a-4p
    • June 15, 1-3p  Sunday Special - Bag of books/$5
  • Fayetteville Jazz - Our annual jazz concert will be held on July 10 starting at 6:30pm, and will feature young people with exceptional musical talent.  The Salt City Jazz Collective will knock our socks off with big band jazz and vocalist Ronnie Leigh will entertain.  This is a great time to enjoy music in a perfect outdoor setting.  Everyone is invited to attend this free event, which is sponsored by the Friends and the Motto Sheet Music Collection

::  Who are the Friends? ::

The Friends are individuals who share an interest in helping the Library grow and reach out to the community on several different levels.  In addition to providing fundraising and volunteer support to the Library, The Friends support cultural and artistic programs for the Fayetteville community.  If you would like to:

  • Be part of a special group that is committed to enhancing the community through the Library.
  • Help to encourage closer relationships and improved communications between the Library and the community.
  • Offer suggestions that implement new uses and functions for the Library.
  • Help support new services and projects not funded by the Library, such as speakers and other cultural programs.                    
  • Automatically receive newsletters and other announcements.

::  Book Sale FAQs ::

The Annual Book Sale is held in June.  Currently the Friends sell books in their "boutique" located adjacent to the entrance to the library.  Proceeds of the the sale go directly to support the Library.

  1. Donated books are accepted during library business hours.
  2. Items should be in resellable condition.
  3. No textbooks
