  • 2009 Monthly Art Schedule
    • June, "Art & Soul" - A collective of 15 local artists who meet weekly to study and share our enthusiasm for art.  Over the past several years,  Art & Soul has had many successful shows. Their work is on display at the Skyline Grill and at the Inn Between.  Other venues where Art & sould has been displayed are Hospice of CNY and the Beaver Lake Nature Center.  They have also enjoyed showing at the Delevan Art Gallery in Syracuse and at various local Libraries in the area.
    • Art & Soul Artists:  Sharon Daniels-Duerr, Phyllis DiSalvo, Pam Dischinger, Sharon Gibbons, Bonnie Goetzke, Rita Keller, Kathleen Kvinde, Loie Mechetti, Jeri Meday, Joanne Neff, Ginny Raner, Nancy Shampine, Elisabeth Wallace, Jan Waters and Kathryn Wehrung.
  • Annual Book Sale - June 20-21, 2009
  • Fayetteville Jazz -  July 16
    • Featuring Ronnie Leigh, Nancy Kelly, and Jacque Tara Washington with the Salt City Jazz Collective.  Joined by local student performers at Beard Park.
  • Motto Sunday Musicale Series
    • Many people enjoyed the 2008-2009 season.  Look forward to a new lineup this fall!

::  Who are the Friends? ::

The Friends are individuals who share an interest in helping the Library grow and reach out to the community on several different levels.  In addition to providing fundraising and volunteer support to the Library, The Friends support cultural and artistic programs for the Fayetteville community.  If you would like to:

  • Be part of a special group that is committed to enhancing the community through the Library.
  • Help to encourage closer relationships and improved communications between the Library and the community.
  • Offer suggestions that implement new uses and functions for the Library.
  • Help support new services and projects not funded by the Library, such as speakers and other cultural programs.                    
  • Automatically receive newsletters and other announcements.

::  Book Sale FAQs ::

The Annual Book Sale will be held June 19-21.  Currently the Friends sell books in their "boutique" located adjacent to the entrance to the library.  Proceeds of the the sale go directly to support the Library.

  1. Donated books are accepted during library business hours.
  2. Items should be in clean, resellable condition.
  3. No textbooks
