The sheet music collection presents a chronological picture of America from the Civil War through the music of the 1980s. It includes melodies of Stephen Foster, political campaign songs, treasures of Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and Hollywood shows, big band arrangements, rock ‘n’ roll hits, folk, jazz and country music. The material is in book format which circulates and original song sheets of American Popular Song.

Meticulously indexed, the collection is a resource for anyone searching for a specific song, for a theme, for personal entertainment, or for doing scholarly research. It continues to grow through donations and contributions.
