The Motto Sheet Music Collection invites you to visit our collection. We're open Monday through Thursday, 10am - 3pm. We have 1000s of pieces of sheet music of American popular song to look at, and our music books circulate through the Onondaga County library system. Curator, Bobbi Hampson is available to help during regular hours, or you can make a special appointment.

:: Motto Sheet Music Collection Description ::

The sheet music collection presents a chronological picture of America from the Civil War through the music of the 1980's. The collection includes melodies of Stephen Foster, political campaign songs, the treasures of Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and Hollywood shows, big band arrangements, songs of the common man, and music pro-tests of the 60's and 70's.

Meticulously indexed with extensive cross-references, the collection is a resource for anyone searching for a specific song, for a theme, for personal entertainment, or for doing scholarly research.  It continues to grow through donations and subscriptions.
